Miguel Colominas
Miguel is an Insurance professional with more than 30 years of
experience in Pricing, Reserving and Underwriting roles in European,
Middle East and African markets.
He started his Insurance career in Barcelona in 1991 working at Schweiz
Insurance first and later for Eagle Star, since the merge with Zurich in 1999
when he became head of Motor and Personal Lines.
In 2010 he temporarily moved to Russia for 6 months to lead the
Underwriting team of Baikal project an in 2011 permanently moved to
Middle East (Dubai) to launch from the scratch the whole Motor and
Personal Lines proposition for the whole Middle East Operation as well
supervise the Motor Underwriting Operations of South Africa, Morocco
and Turkey.
In 2014 he moved to Saudi Arabia when he was leading the
Underwriting operations of AlRajhi takaful, # 1 Motor Insurer in the
Kingdom since 2017.
Miguel has accumulated years of experience in pricing and
Underwriting matters, countless discussion with reserving actuaries,
CFO’s and Top management and is perfectly aware of the needs and
challenges of the insurance industry and perfectly knows how to
satisfy and overcome all of them.
In May 2022 he became the Chief Strategy Officer of Rasan Technology,
the leading Fintech company in the Middle East, and R2 is the best
example of the fruitful collaboration of technologists and Insurance
professionals

Dmitry Rykov
Dmitry is a very seasoned Insurance professional graduated from Faculty of
Mathematics and Mechanics of Moscow State University.
He started his insurance career in 2010 as Junior Actuary in Zurich Insurance
Russia and early in his career specialized on Predictive Modelling using GLMs
mainly to determine the most accurate cost of production of the Motor Book
(Technical price) as well modelling Insurance demand.
Consequently, he accumulates a huge expertise of not only effectively
preparing, cleaning and transforming huge datasets through sophisticated
scripts but also on Data analytics and Reserving matters as well effectively
fitting millions of records and creating pricing models that effectively predict
future outcomes. He became in 2013 Head of Pricing and in 2018 he became
Head of Motor Underwriting in Zetta (ex-Zurich Russia).
Dimitry moved to the Middle east in 2019 and joined Al Rajhi Takaful in Saudi
Arabia as Head of Pricing and Data Analytics.
He led the team that built the first GLM Pricing models in the Kingdom that
definitely contributed to consolidate and expand the position of leadership
of Takaful Alrajhi in the Individual segment as well maximize the level of
profits.
In October 2022 he became VP Data Science and Analytics of Rasan Technology,
the leading Fintech company in the Middle East, and R2 is the best
example of the fruitful collaboration of technologists and Insurance
professionals
